Set it and forget it.
This is my second Intex Saltwater System. The first one was the former unit they produced which gave me continuous errors. I bypassed the electronics in it and it lasted two years before the titanium plates wore out.
This new unit worked from the get go and has given me no problem and cost less than replacement titanium plates.
If you shop around amazon.com you'll find a good deal on one.
